Chicken Salt and Pepper Shakers - vintage, collectible, birds, Japan
1107 - These chickens were purchased at an estate sale and are in fair condition. There is chipping of paint on the comb and wattle of each shaker (in fact, the smaller chicken has almost all of the paint gone).
Both chickens are white with beige tail feathers. These feathers also have a green vine design on them with red polka dots. On the body of the chickens there are brown dots. The comb and the wattle on one is chipped and on the other one the paints is almost gone (see photos). NOTE: The design is only on one side of the chickens. Both chickens measure 4 3/4 inches tall, have plastic stoppers and marked "Japan".
